On Saturday 23 July 2022, the conference dedicated to the program was held in the Insula hub in Porto Cervo Marina
of territorial marketing Insula - Sardinia Quality World, promoted by the Department of
Tourism, Crafts and Commerce of the Sardinia Region and CIPNES, to tell e
promote, through an experiential and identity path, the Destination Sardinia (project
"Sardinia Discovery Journey - experiential tourism strategy") and the productive excellence of our land.
In addition to Cipnes and the Regional Tourism Department participated in the meeting
Sardinia - promoters of the program -, the University of Sassari, the representatives of the rural districts,
operators in the tourism-hospitality sector, producers from all over Sardinia, artists,
designers, musicians, and folklore groups.
The Director of the Agrifood and Territorial Marketing Division of Cipnes Massimo Masia and
Cipnes President Gianni Sarti illustrated the mission of INSULA program and the project
of territorial marketing "Sardinia Discovery Journey" which is aimed to combine within a single
large promotional and distribution network, quality and artistic-cultural production systems
identity of our land and the operators of the tourist-accommodation system, to promote the true soul
of Sardinia through marketing oriented paths, declined in a markedly local key.
Representing the tourism sector operators, Paolo Manca was present in his role as
President of Federalberghi Sardegna (as well as of Federalberghi Gallura and national vice president), the
which underlined the important role of hoteliers in "selling" not only rooms but the
destination Sardinia.

The tourist-accommodation system needs a technical structure such as
Insula - said Paolo Manca - is a bridge between supply and demand for local productions
and identity, capable of guaranteeing not only the distribution of our production excellence but also

emphasized Battista Cualbu, President of the Consortium for the Protection of the IGP Agnello di Sardegna and head
of Coldiretti Sardinia, but it is about the promotion and greater distribution of quality products in the
catering and hotel groups that must be aimed, according to Cualbu, by creating a system and
telling our profound production know-how.

About this important topic the film director and documentarist Pietro Mereu has made a great documentary
success entitled "The club of the centenarians". In the docufilm, shot about eight years ago in Ogliastra, one of the
areas of Sardinia with the highest incidence of centenarians, Mereu investigates the secret of the longevity of the people
Sardinian. Beyond the secret that still remains mysterious after all, the investigation is capable of
illuminate aspects of Sardinia that are often unknown but suitable to be packaged into a story
capable of conveying an integrated, identity and sustainable experiential tourism model.
The event continued with artistic animation together with the music of Mauro Mibelli that accompanied the voice of Nicole Ruzzittu,
to follow the inevitable presence of the dances and sounds of our land with the Folk group of Oristano.
The food and wine producers and master craftsmen were the protagonists of the event,
presenting the productive excellence of our land to the pressing public.
